Unique by design
Metallic epoxy contains reflective pigments suspended in clear resin. As the installer works the wet floor, those pigments move and settle into swirls, ripples and veins. No two floors look the same. Depending on the colors and technique, the finish can resemble marble, lava, ocean water or polished granite. It is a striking choice for spaces you want to show off.
Popular uses here
Many homeowners convert garages into bedrooms, game rooms, home gyms or offices. Metallic floors make those rooms feel finished without carpet or tile. Small salons, barbershops, boutiques and church fellowship halls also use metallic floors as a design feature that stays easy to clean.
Our installation steps
Prepare and level
Metallic floors highlight every flaw, so we grind thoroughly and fill cracks and low areas carefully. A smooth, flat base is essential.
Prime and base coat
A primer seals the slab and prevents outgassing. A tinted base coat sets the background color.
Metallic layer
We pour and manipulate the metallic resin in sections, creating movement and depth.
Protective topcoat
A clear topcoat adds wear and UV resistance. It can be gloss, satin or slightly textured.
Color combinations
- Teal, silver and white for a tropical water look
- Charcoal, silver and black for a modern feel
- Copper, gold and brown for warmth
- White and gray for a marble-inspired finish
Practical considerations
Metallic floors are softer looking than flake and show scratches more easily, especially dark colors. They are best indoors or in garages used as living space. In working garages with heavy vehicles and tools, we usually recommend flake flooring. Moisture is especially important to test, because bubbles from vapor show clearly in a glossy floor.
Lighting and appearance
The look of metallic floors changes with light. Bright overhead fixtures show depth and movement. Natural light from sliding doors creates a different effect at different times of day. We review your lighting during the estimate.
Caring for metallic floors
Use soft mats at doors to catch sand, felt pads under furniture and a microfiber mop for cleaning. Avoid dragging heavy items. Worn areas can be refreshed with a new topcoat.

Turning a garage into living space
When a garage becomes a bedroom or office, the slab is usually a step lower than the house and may slope toward the door. We can add a self-leveling underlayment to flatten the floor before the metallic layers go down, which makes furniture sit evenly and lets the reflective pigments spread in smooth, natural patterns. We also coordinate with framers and drywall crews on timing, so the floor is installed after the dusty work is finished and before trim is attached.
Small spaces with big impact
Metallic finishes also work in small rooms such as powder baths, entry halls and closets. A compact space lets the pattern stand out, and the cost stays manageable. We often install a small area first so homeowners can see the effect before committing to a larger room.
We also offer matching baseboard coatings for a seamless look.
